InstAwards – Vote on the GS@Work posts!
In February 2014 ‘GS@Work’ started on Instagram. Since then, Arcadians from all over the world have shared their daily work on Instagram. To thank all of the Arcadians for sharing their work weeks, you can now vote for the InstAwards! Who will win these awards? That’s up to you!
First of all, a big thank you to the over 40 (!) Arcadians who already shared their work week! From environmental engineers in the US to quantity surveyors in Singapore and from EC Harris consultants to graphic designers working at RTKL. The Instagram account shows the wide variety in jobs at ARCADIS, do you remember all of them?
There are three categories and in each categorie there are three nominations. The winners will receive a special price!
The categories are:
- Most exciting post
- Most engaging post
- Most liked post
For the first two categories, please vote on this page. To vote on the third category, please ‘like’ the post on Instagram (if you haven’t done that already).
You can vote until January, 9. The winners will be announced in the week of January 12, 2015!

A Quantity Surveyor manages all costs related items in a construction project from inception to completion. I am currently quantifying the architectural works for a mix-development project in Kuala Lumpur which is one of a QS’s core skills. #gsatwork #arcadisgs Een video die is geplaatst door ARCADIS Global Shapers (@arcadis_gs) op

#GSatwork Today I went to visit a construction site for a TDD (for those who dislike abbreviations: Technical Due Diligence). Our client is planning to buy the whole development, as soon it is completed and fully rented. With this service we support our clients’ decision whether to purchase the building or not. Therefor we evaluate the technical risks that might affect the future costs of the acquisition. A quite difficult thing to do in just one 3 hours site visit ^Johannes Een foto die is geplaatst door ARCADIS GlobalShapers (@arcadis_gs) op

This is one of my first bridge projects. The pictures show the completed temporary detour bridge on the right. Top left is the existing bridge demolition and new construction occurring simultaneously. And the bottom left is an existing girder after it has been removed. Site visits are very rewarding after spending countless hours during the design phase. #gsatwork ^Garrett Een foto die is geplaatst door ARCADIS Global Shapers (@arcadis_gs) op
