Kindly we would like to make you aware of the statement the Lovinklaan board shared earlier today. Please also find this message in our Global Intranet. This statement means the Global Shapers program won’t go ahead in it’s current timeline. This has been a very difficult decision to make, but we believe it’s the only right one in these uncertain times to keep you all as safe as possible.
You may think, why not go fully virtual? We know the Face-to-Face aspect of Global Shapers has an immense added value to the program. It’s excited to meet so many great minds to create meaningful connections and learn from others and learn about yourself and Arcadis during the pressure cooker experience at the F2F. It adds greatly to full program experience (pre-application, application, virtual phase and F2F). We believe we won’t do justice to the program by hosting it without F2F, and thus in line with the Lovinklaan statement, we’ll be looking for other opportunities beyond the current lovinklaan programs like Global Shapers, Expedition DNA program and Quest.
The Knowledge Café series will continue as normal and we encourage you to participate in the two sessions that are still lined up. Decarbonization is an important topic for us and for the Arcadis business, and even though not specifically useful for your application for the program now, we believe the topics are still relevant for all of us.
We would like to encourage you to stay in touch with everyone you’ve met during the pre-application or elsewhere along the way to keep creating meaningful connections and share knowledge virtually going forward in any possible way. We’re also keen to continue the Global Shapers instagram account if we have enough volunteers. Interested? Drop us a message!
