Quest is an international transfer program which connects Arcadians from all over the world. Quest is sponsored by the Lovinklaan Foundation. Every week we are highlighting one of the stories our employees who went on an exchange. In this blogpost we cover the Quest story of Aditi Rakshit who traveled from Bangaluru India to York in the United Kingdom.
Why did I apply for a Quest
Quest is a fantastic medium of sharing knowledge and building good relationship with colleagues in multidisciplinary team across the globe. Through my visit I have learned about design management and came across various training sessions that has enhanced my knowledge many folds.
“Quest is a fantastic medium of sharing knowledge and building good relationship with colleagues!”
Highlight of my quest experience
I had an amazing experience at the York office, especially the training sessions I attended allowed me to gain new insights. Additionally, I had the opportunity to go on a very interesting site visit to network rail project in Glasgow, this allowed me to better understand the process and benefits of station modification.
My Quest in one word
“It was incredible!”
Learnings and experiences
For me personally, through working with lead office I’ve no more faith in working more efficiently together, therefore it will benefit the entire business line. Further more the Quest exchange also helped me in enhancing my technical knowledge as I joined the training sessions on GRIP processes , NR standards , structural load calculations with respect to OLE.
I would like to recommend Quest to others as this would provide a great learning opportunity. Getting to know the the working culture, as well as understanding how to deal with clients, is all part of the experience by itself. Through the Quest exchange you are more connected with your colleagues abroad and this will enhance a better c0-working environment. In general one could say the Quest experience enables you to remain curious and keep learning.
