My Quest Experience
Puja Nag went on a Quest experience from India to the UK.
Why did I apply for a Quest
The reason why I applied for a Quest was that the Quest program is giving us a wonderful platform to collaborate with other Arcadis offices all over the globe to enrich our knowledge and be able to learn from each other. Besides this it really gives us the opportunity to be aware about the work culture within those different region offices. As I wanted to experience both the collaboration and learning from the work culture in the UK I decided to apply for a Quest.
Highlight of my Quest experience
The highlight of my Quest was definitely to learning more about the York OLE team where I am part of. Next to this I had the pleasure of receiving a training on Project Planning, Risk Assessment and BIM. BIM stands for Business Information Modelling and is a process involving the generation and management of digital representations of physical and functional characteristics of places. Building information models are files (often but not always in proprietary formats and containing proprietary data) which can be extracted, exchanged or networked to support decision-making regarding a building or other built asset. This training was very valuable.

My learnings and recommendations
By obtaining this Quest opportunity it really helped me to understand the work culture of a lead office. Next to this it really increased the collaboration with UK colleagues. I am 100% sure that this will really help me in all my future projects.
I will definitely recommend others to really take and enjoy the opportunity that you can get throughout the Quest program. It is a special journey that will help you to really getting and understanding the bigger picture of the Arcadis working culture. For me it really helped to make a greater ‘bond’ between the India GEC and our lead offices, mainly in the UK.
Quest is an international transfer program which connects Arcadians from all over the world. Quest is sponsored by the Lovinklaan Foundation
