Board Meeting Wrap-up | November 2023

The Lovinklaan Board gathered in Dublin in November, adding another successful face-to-face meeting to our series in Amsterdam and Toronto earlier this year. It was a multifaceted event with a full agenda, and we are excited to share some key highlights.

The Lovinklaan Board gathered in Dublin in November, adding another successful face-to-face meeting to our series in Amsterdam and Toronto earlier this year. It was a multifaceted event with a full agenda, and we are excited to share some key highlights.

We reflected on our ongoing programs—Quest, Skills Powered Organization, and Sustain Abilities—and celebrated their successful launch, impact, and relaunch (in the case of Quest). Together with our Program Managers and teams, we celebrated the achievements of the programs and discussed their foreseeable future. We were also proud to celebrate the handover of our Shelter and Expedition DNA programs to Arcadis as a vital moment to commemorate how far we have come. Representatives from these programs joined us virtually as the Board extended its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who played a crucial role in running these programs.

Much like our visit to AIBI in Toronto earlier this year, our visit to DPS in Dublin was an enjoyable and worthwhile experience. We hosted a staff presentation and lunch as well as a management dinner with representatives from Arcadis Ireland. Once again, we received positive feedback on the opportunities that the integration of Arcadis and DPS adds value to the experience of what it means to be an Arcadis employee. The structure of the major shareholding and the investment in programs for all Arcadians from Lovinklaan was seen as a unique offering.

In line with our commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, Reuel Abrams and Lisa Stone shared initiatives from the Ethnicity and Heritage Affinity Group. Lisa joined virtually, while Reuel met us face-to-face in Dublin. This builds on our session with the Gender Affinity Group in September. Their contributions underscore the Lovinklaan Foundation’s dedication to fostering diversity and inclusion within Arcadis, and we engaged in constructive dialogue on how to foster a more inclusive and equitable environment for Arcadians and on our programs.

“From celebrating the success of our programs to engaging in constructive dialogue on how to foster a more inclusive and equitable environment for Arcadians, the energy was contagious!,” says our Treasurer, Marco Foo.

Lastly, Capital Markets Day (CMD) marked the launch of Arcadis’ three-year strategy, acknowledging and appreciating the distinctive role of the Lovinklaan Board.

As we wrap up the year, we would like to say a massive thank you to the contributions of all those who made our visit to Dublin memorable. We appreciate you all and look forward to executing our plans in the year ahead.
