Quest is an international transfer program which connects Arcadians from all over the world. Quest is sponsored by the Lovinklaan Foundation. Every week we are highlighting one of the stories our employees who went on an exchange. In this blogpost we cover the Quest story of Bruna Bianca Pasquini who traveled from Sao Paulo, Brazil to London, England.
Why did I apply for a Quest
I applied to go on a Quest to connect with Arcadis colleagues in Europe, together we came up with new concepts and discovered new methods of sustainability that we could integrate in our construction projects. My goal was to better understand modern and innovative concepts for the preservation of biodiversity and natural resources, in a way that is more connected to the recent market movements.
“My Quest journey proved to be a stimulating opportunity to exchange knowledge and practical experiences with other Arcadians”
Highlight of my quest experience
The highlight of my Quest experience was working on projects related to natural capital, ecosystem service and biodiversity. During these projects we focused mainly on how we as Arcadis could benefit from the world’s natural resources, different environments and ecosystems without sustaining net losses.
I also had a great time meeting amazing people and visiting our office in London and Brussels. A special thanks to, Martina Girvan, Aline Brodzinski, Brandon Murray, Gregor Pecnik, Johan Lammerant and Hans van Gossum for making it an unforgettable experience.
My Quest in one sentence
“Great people and amazing cities”
Learnings and experiences
I plan to share everything I learned and experienced while I was on my Quest with my Brazilian colleagues back home. Furthermore, I will do my best to integrate the new insights in projects I will be involved with in Brazil.
“Immerse yourself in this experience!“
