BLOG – On a mission to leverage collective skill sets in Switzerland
Quest is an international transfer program which connects Arcadians from all over the world. The Quest program is sponsored by the Lovinklaan Foundation. Every week we are highlighting one of the stories of our employees who went on an exchange. In this blogpost we cover the Quest story of Norman Forsberg who traveled from Albany to Schlieren in Switzerland.
Why did I apply for a Quest
I applied to the Quest program with the hopes of gaining a better understanding of our Swiss and Belgian colleague’s current areas of work. Moreover, I hoped to identify ways to better leverage our collective skill sets in toxicology, risk assessment, and product stewardship to provide our clients industry leading solutions.
“It’s impressive how many intelligent, creative, and driven people we have at Arcadis.“
Highlight of my Quest experience
We have so many intelligent, creative, and driven people in our organization. I was impressed with our in-house Swiss ecotoxicology and analytical chemistry laboratories – thanks Drs. Gerecke and Liedtke for showing me around!
My Quest in one word
“Illuminating!”
Learnings and experiences
The Swiss and Belgian product stewardship teams are exactly that… TEAMS! I’m going to strive to build the same level of cohesion into my work teams!
