Blog – Meeting the Bangalore GEC team

My Quest Experience

Krissy Hoffman went on a Quest experience from the USA to the GEC India.

Why did I apply for a Quest

I have been working with some of the GEC Bangalore employees for over a year, but had only met two in person when they came to the US. One of them told me about the Quest program and asked when I was going to come visit them. It was a good question. I talked to my boss and others, found a good time for me to go that worked for everyone and applied.

Highlight of my Quest experience

Meeting the entire team that I had been working with, and would continue working with was very important. It is one thing to email and talk on the phone, but to sit down and go over the plans together and get to know them will help all of us as we continue to work together.

My Quest in one word

Enlightening

Learnings and experiences I will apply to my day to day work

Knowing my coworkers, how they work, their personalities, etc. – and them knowing the same things about me – will help all of us as we continue to work on projects together. Working remotely, the most important part of what we do is communication. We set up a framework for how we will set up projects we work on together and will continue to refine that as we learn what works for all of us and the project.
