Let’s meet two Lovinklaan Ambassadors

22 agosto 2018

To generate awareness for the different employee programs and increase involvement for the Lovinklaan Foundation in general we asked Arcadians to share their stories. We believe sharing their experiences is the best way to invite you to learn more about the Foundation and its programs. In this post you will learn more about two Lovinklaan ambassadors who participated in the Quest program. Quest is an international transfer program that focuses on connecting Arcadians from all over the world.

Name: Aaron Capelouto
Country: USA
Current role within Arcadis: Water Engineer (Water South – Atlanta, GA, USA)
Program: Quest, 2018

What made your experience unique?

“My Quest experience allowed me to travel the world and experience how Arcadis can leverage different parts of the globe to increase our client base.”

How did the Lovinklaan program contribute to your personal and professional growth?

“The Lovinklaan program provided me with my first international business opportunity. My Quest to Bangalore helped me understand how Arcadis utilizes the talent of the GECs to remain cost competitive with key client accounts. The program afforded me the opportunity to engage with a culture and part of the world of which I was unfamiliar. Strengthening relationships with different GEC staff and identifying ways to improve Arcadis North America and GEC interactions was an important result of the Quest.”

What’s next?

“The Quest was my first Lovinklaan experience so far with Arcadis. However, I plan to apply to Global Shapers when my schedule allows.”

Name: Richard Warburton
Country: Singapore
Current role within Arcadis: Head of Financial Institutions, APAC
Program: Quest, 2014

What was the most valuable aspect for you personally?

“It really makes a difference to be able to call a colleague you have met and know for support.”

How did you experience the program?

“For my Quest I travelled to the Netherlands to gain a much better insight into the breadth and depth of infrastructure related solutions that Arcadis provided to Clients. The growth of infrastructure was a key area of focus in Asia, that’s why I was eager to gain extra knowledge and grow my Arcadis colleague network. It enables us in Asia to be more responsive to meet Client’s needs.”

What made your experience unique?

“I managed to visit four Arcadis offices and a large project office in a whistle stop tour around the Netherlands. Being able to walk through the newly constructed tunnel under Amsterdam Centraal Station was certainly a unique experience. Also when visiting the Zwolle office I came across a large collection of sand samples that the River, Coast & Sea team had gathered from around the world. After my Quest I was inspired to collect some additional samples from the UK, Singapore and Indonesia to supplementment the collection!”
