Impact Story – Rosa Jose
Based in India and an Arcadian for over 8 years now, Rosa Jose has always enjoyed embracing non-linear career paths and taking on new challenges. In this Impact Story, Rosa tells us what it means to serve as a Change Sponsor and represent the Global Excellence Centers (GECs) in our Skills Powered Organization (SPO) program.
“When the opportunity arose to contribute to such a large-scale program—one focused on helping Arcadians align their skills to grow and experience a fulfilling career, I couldn’t pass up the chance to get involved”, says Rosa. Read on to learn more about her inspiring journey!
- How has Arcadis’ evolution to a Skills Powered Organization influenced your career at Arcadis?
Our SPO approach has inspired and enabled me to think beyond the conventional approach and explore opportunities that align with my transferable skills. We’re still at the beginning of the journey and I’m excited about my career prospects at Arcadis. The platform is empowered by Artificial Intelligence, which amplifies my ability to consider various career paths that fit my skills, and that has been incredibly rewarding.
- What has your experience been like as a member of the SPO steering committee?
Being on the SPO steering committee has been a truly transformative experience for me. It’s not just about being part of a major program, working alongside senior leaders from across Arcadis; it’s about witnessing firsthand how our collective, inclusive efforts can drive real change. Witnessing the commitment and passion from the leadership team has been both inspiring and eye-opening. I’ve had the chance to contribute to driving the adoption of the platform and our new ways of working as well as spreading the message of this fantastic change program. This role has truly deepened my connection to our mission, broadened my network, and reinforced my personal commitment to our vision.
- Any memorable moments or success stories you’d like to share?
It’s rewarding to support your team in opportunities they’re ready to embrace, whether it’s learning a new skill or tackling a fresh challenge.
Personally, what I find most fulfilling—especially as it’s happening more frequently now post the launch of SPO—is when Arcadians from around the globe reach out to explore roles they’ve discovered on the platform while seeking opportunities where their skills can make a meaningful impact.
- What advice would you offer to other Arcadians who are interested in starting their SPO journey now?
This is a journey of personal growth; it involves shifting our mindsets and broadening our horizons. It is also about managers embracing a more inclusive approach to our people’s skills—not just to serve the business and our clients, but also for the communities we’re all part of and make a difference to.
Being able to drive initiatives that all Arcadians take advantage of is a privilege I deeply value. Gaining insight into the unique challenges faced by different Countries and Global Business Areas, and being pushed to find solutions, has truly strengthened my trust in the inclusive culture we champion at Arcadis. That’s why I’d encourage my fellow Arcadians to stay open to exploring new opportunities, while also being ready to support others in finding paths that truly reflect their skills.
- And finally, how do you see SPO shaping the future of Arcadis and empowering all Arcadians?
I’m confident that this journey will bring Arcadians from around the world much closer together and closer to the needs of our clients, while individually building more rewarding careers. It’s exciting to envision a future where we co-create innovative solutions for our clients, drawing on the incredible wealth of diverse skills we have globally. Personally, I see this as a pivotal opportunity to keep us competitive, agile, and continually energized by the skills each of us brings, nurtures, and develops. It’s an inspiring vision for our future, and I’m truly thrilled to be part of it.
