Board Meeting Wrap-up | June 2024   

Sydney, Australia was the backdrop for the Lovinklaan Foundation’s second Board meeting of 2024. Travelling from all over the world, we gathered to have to have productive, insightful and forward-thinking discussions regarding the future of the Lovinklaan Foundation and its programs. It was an honour to meet with fellow Arcadians ‘down under’ and our time in Australia reconfirmed our commitment to driving long-term value creation.

As we enter the second half of 2024, this Board meeting was a critical opportunity for us to mark the achievements made to date, while also taking a closer look at our priorities and focus areas moving forward. We had fruitful discussions relating to the success of our current programs – old and new – and we spent time discussing the potential for new programs on the horizon in the months and years ahead.

Notably, during this meeting, we voted to extend the terms of two of our fantastic Board members – Zakiya Seymour and Maricel Atienza. Both Zakiya and Maricel’s contributions to the Lovinklaan Foundation are significant and we’re grateful for all of the time, hard work and effort that they have put into ensuring the Foundation’s success. They will now remain on the Lovinklaan Foundation’s Board for a further three years.

Every Board gathering is an opportunity for us to not only deepen our connections with each other, but to meet fellow Arcadians from across the globe – and Australia was no exception. Between us all, we visited Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, and thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to nurture relationships with our colleagues in the region. As well as hosting several productive meetings and presentations, we enjoyed the chance to meet and get to know our colleagues in a more relaxed setting over lunches, dinners and a few social events, too.

We were also honoured to be able to meet with several members of leadership within Australia, and all of us left these discussions with a much deeper understanding of our Australian business, its challenges and the opportunities within this truly fascinating market.

We’re extremely excited by the opportunities that lie ahead for the Lovinklaan Foundation – we feel refreshed, revitalized and more committed than ever to focus on delivering our vision: to invest in Arcadis and Arcadians to empower them to reach their full potential and drive meaningful change.
