My Quest Experience

Supreeth S. went on a Quest experience from the GEC India to the UK.

Why did I apply for a Quest

The reason why I applied for the Quest program was to gain international work experience, to really invest in communication with people, also in English and to have invest in a good collaboration with the team based in the UK.

Highlight of my Quest experience

The highlight of my Quest was definitely the most desired experience of a site visit through Quest. In the GEC you work on various projects, but you never actually see them. I had the privilege to inspect a bridge in Manor Park, London. Not only I was involved in a site visit, but I was also involved in assessing the bridge. Next to that I was able to visit the work site of the London Bridge Station, which I was also the part of during the project. Finally I was able to meet the team members in the Croydon and Kings Cross office. Meeting them in person was an amazing experience and really benefits the collaboration with them.

My Quest in one word

Unique experience!

My learnings and recommendations

My learnings of this amazing Quest experience were that the moment I returned back a noticed I gained a lot of experience on the site visit and enthusiasm which, I am sure it will, enhance my imagination of a working site in my future projects. Next to that it definitely helps me to fine tuning the technical knowledge which you need to carry out work in a more systematic manner. Many thanks to Lovinklaan Foundation for making my big week so unique! I would really like to recommend all my colleagues to make the most of the opportunity provided by the foundation to enhance the knowledge and skills of each individual.

Quest is an international transfer program which connects Arcadians from all over the world. Quest is sponsored by the Lovinklaan Foundation
