DRAFT – BLOG – Praveen’s enlightening Quest in Atlanta

05 januari 2018

Quest is an international transfer program which connects Arcadians from all over the world. Quest is sponsored by the Lovinklaan Foundation. Every week we are highlighting one of the stories our employees who went on an exchange. In this blogpost we cover the Quest story of Praveen Mugalkhod who traveled from Bangalore, India to Atlanta, USA.

Why did I apply for a Quest

The main reason for me to apply for a Quest was because this program gives Arcadians like me the opportunity to travel across the world, to get to know fellow Arcadians and experience working in offices abroad.

“Going on a Quest is all about creating opportunities for yourself!”

Highlight of my quest experience

Although I have experienced many highlights, I would say the main one was the experience of working with international clients and getting to know the Atlanta team in person. In my opinion it is crucial for a team to work closely with the client, because it increases the understanding of expectations (from both sides). Once we clearly established the expectations and goals, we easily understood what deliverables were necessary to meet the clients’ requirements.

“It truly brightened my whole career”

Learnings and experiences

During my Quest I learned that it is crucial for all colleagues to be appropriately trained in the GEC process, in order to deliver quality work on upcoming projects. My experience abroad allowed me to obtain a lot of new knowledge and insights, while increasing my professional and interpersonal skills when it comes to client contact. Therefore, I would definitely recommend any Arcadian to participate in the Quest experience because it truly allows you to obtain new knowledge and expand your horizon. Moreover, it is a great way to learn from your international colleagues and clients.
