During last week’s face-to-face program in Kuala Lumpur 99 Global Shapers, from 25 countries, speaking 42 languages, came together and created impact. Their endless energy, creativity, great ideas, enthusiasm and five days of hard work resulted in many new global connections and impactful deliverables related to this year’s theme: #sustainability4impact – Digital Solutions to improve Quality of Life!
The Global Shapers Program provides 100 young professionals within Arcadis worldwide the opportunity to improve Arcadis, create more international connections and share knowledge. Global Shapers – supported by Lovinklaan Foundation – is an annual program, which was launched for the first time in 2012. The program is about learning through working together in an international group, in a virtual and face-to-face phase. By creating international connections, facilitating and improving knowledge sharing and making sure the challenge is taken back home, a ripple effect is created. The program wants to contribute to being the employer of choice for the best young professionals.
Although this year’s program is closed, you can apply for Global Shapers 2018 next year. In order to do so, make sure you meet the following requirements:
- max. 5 years of general work experience (=strict cut-off point)
- globally oriented and able to speak English
- eager and motivated to learn and participate in the program
- able to inspire others and make an impact
- not part of an earlier edition of Global Shapers
